Vietnam Airlines Surprising Calendar

I caused a calendar to take flight (even without winning the pitch).

Back in 2019, while I was still an Art Director at TBWA, we pitched for the Vietnam Airlines thematic campaign. Though we didn’t officially win the pitch, our proposed art direction left such a strong impression that the client decided to adapt it into their official 2020 New Year Calendar.

Inspired by the poetic symbolism of the lotus—Vietnam Airlines’ brand icon—this calendar concept visualized the spirit of the airline through graceful dance compositions that mirrored lotus petals in bloom. Each month featured lyrical verses and ethereal visuals, conveying elegance, resilience, and the uniquely Vietnamese spirit of taking flight with grace and strength.

Even without the trophy, this one’s a quiet win I’ll always hold close.
